A Night Of Awareness
ACCIDENTAL OVERDOSE
Tuesday, October 29, 2019 | Newport Beach Civic Center
A ONE-Raiser 501(c)3 nonprofit
This night we will speak about the reality of accidental overdose and speak prevention, intervention and solution while raising funds for the works of ONE.
Amiee Dunkle had a beautiful boy. Ben died from complications following an accidental overdose at the age of 20. The people he was with did not have naloxone nor had they been trained to recognize an opioid overdose. Aimee founded The Solace Foundation to reduce opioid related deaths by expanding access to this life saving drug. https://www.solacefoundationofoc.org/
Jodi Barber lost her beautiful boy, Jarrod in 2010. He was 19. Several of his close friends died that year from accidental prescription drug overdoses. Jodi used her pain as her power. She and Christine Wood produced a documentary called Overtaken, and recently released Overtaken 2 in addition to Behind the Orange Curtain. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KbiI2IFHYJw
